What do we mean by a “design partner for good”?
There are pursuits that are good for business and there are pursuits that are good for the world. And all too often, the two never overlap. But they can. And they should.
Below are the key areas that we would like to focus our efforts on–areas where we can help improve the human experience (and the bottom line).
Creation care
We are for work that protects the planet and helps all of its inhabitants thrive.
Organizations that are doing it right:
OneTreePlanted is working on reforestation on a global level
Source has created technology that may someday bring clean water to nearly any place in the world
Equity everywhere
We are for work that lifts people up and seeks to right wrongs.
Organizations that are doing it right:
Atticus helps connect people who are owed money with reputable lawyers
Outdoor Afro connects Black communities to the healing and joy of the great outdoors
Thriving health
We are for work that promotes healthier bodies and minds.
Organizations that are doing it right:
Peachy Patient puts power in the patient’s hands when it comes to their medical bills
Headspace provides an easy entry into mindfulness and mental health
Supporting safety
We are for work that protects us all, but especially the vulnerable.
Organizations that are doing it right:
O.U.R. is fighting sex trafficking and freeing captives
What3Words identifies precise locations for emergency crews using unique three word names
Wild card
We realize that good and worthy work doesn’t always fit into a bucket. And sometimes categories overlap.
For example, Better Place Forests is providing beautiful resting places for loved ones while supporting land conservation and reforestation. We get just as inspired by people who are creating good in ways we haven’t even thought of yet. So don’t hesitate to tell us what you’re working on and let us know how we can help.
